The Unending Night
There had been no human record on the Island of Antenoran of a past migration onto the continent, but before the eastern elves or the Wygrievian Morgans staked their claims in the West, another human settlement was made by supposedly holy people fleeing the constant chaos of the Shrouded Hills. Landing on the tip of Freeman’s Cape, the humans roamed the southwestern continent for 25 years before founding the city of Orgarten, not far from the mountains of the Great Desert Wall. These humans dubbed themselves the Orlandi, keepers of the god-given O’rland (overlands). The region had been mostly unclaimed, and by the time that the Orlandi had grown into their own and established holy crusades of expansion, the orcish populations to the north were already falling to plague.
O’rland is known to be a land of religious zealots, a theocracy ruled by an extremist offshoot of the main religion from the Island of Antenora. However details have been limited even after hundreds of years. To venture into O’rland is said to be twice as dangerous as venturing into the Secura Mountains.
